The term "tableware" nowadays serves as a huge catch-all bucket for everything used to serve the delicious food you worked so hard to prepare. Here we offer why porcelain is provides multiple benefits for both cooking and serving.
Many, Many Options
When it comes to traditional tableware there are no shortage of options.
One analogy could be cheese, with options ranging from very hard to very soft. Tableware is similar. The hardest tableware material is porcelain through more than a half dozen options down to earthenware, which can be much softer.
Durability and Versatility
One of my favorite features of my French white porcelain serving dish is I can create a beautiful scalloped vegetable or potato and serve it in the same beautiful vessel it was cooked it. Oven to table and keeping it simple.
Porcelain can be used in the oven up to 500 degrees and is fine under the broiler. It is also dishwasher and microwave safe.
